summerchoirJoin the Summer Choir - All Ages Welcome – No Experience Needed

As the formal choir season comes to an end for the summer, I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the members of the Adult Choir, Resurrection Choir, and Children's Choir for all of their hard work this season.  Your dedication and spirit have added greatly to the celebration of the Mass each Sunday, and your enthusiasm has been an inspiration.

On Sunday, June 9, 2019 Cardinal Cupich held a Vicariate IV listening session which was hosted by St. John of the Cross Catholic Church in Western Springs. Attendance was by invitation only. Time was given to attending individuals to express their thoughts, concerns and suggestions regarding the sex abuse allegations and their handling by the hierarchy of the Catholic Church. Several victims also made statements and requested assistance in addressing responses to their cases.

archdiocese

The Archdiocese of Chicago is committed to providing safe environments for the community. In the midst of a culture of violence, the Church is a staunch voice to call us to be a place of peace. The Archdiocese has long had a best practice restricting the presence of firearms in our facilities. Most of our buildings display signage, consistent with the laws of the State of Illinois, indicating that these weapons are prohibited on the premises. Cardinal Cupich recently distributed a Policy aimed at updating and clarifying the Archdiocese’s position on the prohibition of firearms on all property it owns and controls.
