News & Updates

What to Expect when you attend Mass at St. Pius X Church:

- Masses, liturgies, sacramental celebrations, parish events and all offices will resume at 100 % capacity.

Physical Distancing:
- Physical distancing is NOT required for vaccinated persons.
- Physical distancing is recommended by public health authorities, when possible, for unvaccinated persons if conditions allow up to 6 ft. of separation.

- MASKS ARE REQUIRED WHEN IN DOORS BY ALL PERSONS REGARDLESS OF VACCINATION STATUS. We are aware that some have not been able to be vaccinated due to weakened immune systems or other reasons. Many children have not yet been able to be vaccinated; therefore, we continue to work to keep everyone safe.

Hand Sanitizing:
- Hand sanitizer will be available upon entering church and supplied by Ushers before receiving the Eucharist, if you wish.

Masses and Liturgies:
- Registration for Masses in no longer required.
- The “sign of peace” may be exchanged by a wave, nod, kind word or smile.
- As we process to receive the Eucharist ushers will direct you from the front to the back of the church and supply you with hand sanitizer if you wish.
- Communion will not be offered from the cup. We will continue to receive the Eucharist in the hand, especially in consideration to those receiving immediately after you.
- You will not be dismissed from your pews; you may exit via any door you wish after the final song.

Reporting COVID-related illnesses
We ask that you call the parish office to report if you or a family member becomes COVID-positive and if you have attended a Mass or liturgy within three days of diagnosis. That will allow us to alert parishioners who were also in attendance so that they may monitor themselves, especially if unvaccinated.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we continue to move forward to full opening as we work to keep everyone safe.
